NEW TO YOGA | WORKSHOP

 

Yoga is a physical practice that incorporates breath awareness, physical postures, poses and alignment to help developmental, emotional and physical balance. Through the regular practice of yoga, you will help to stretch and lengthen the muscles, build and develop strength while also learning to calm the physical body and mind through breath.

In this course you will learn:

The essential postures poses, alignment and breath to gain a firm grounding in your yoga practice.

To develop a greater understanding of the techniques and purposes, allowing you to gain a firm grounding in its concept.

To develop self-awareness and balance mentally, physically and emotionally. Calm the mind and body through the practice of moving the body with the breath.

QIGONG THERAPY | WORKSHOP

 

​Qi gong: ("chee-GUNG") A component of traditional Chinese medicine that combines movement, meditation, and regulation of breathing to enhance the flow of qi (an ancient term given to what is believed to be vital energy) in the body.

Qi gong exercises involve the meridian system used in acupuncture, mind intent and breathing techniques during movement. When these dimensions are added, the benefits of exercise increase.

The rhythmic movements of Qigong are reported to reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, and enhance the immune system.

It has also been found to improve cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic and digestive functions. Your initial session will include a 30 min consultation where we will discuss any health issues that may require attention.

From there, we will come up with a customised program just for you, so we can help guide you to better health and wellbeing.

In this workshop, you will learn different styles of Qigong, which will be practised throughout your 9-week journey with us, as well as, take home valuable tools for you to incorporate into your daily life.

Book in a time for your own customised 9 week program.

Sessions will be held weekly, for 9 consecutive weeks.
